Clay's Triumphant Return to Raleigh

Clay's Triumphant Return to Raleigh

Clay, if you are lurking, and if you ever doubted the devotion of the Broads....well, here's how most of us just spent our evening......

We've been glued to our computers to watch the RBC live webcam. We saw exciting pictures, like this one:

Then, we hit the refresh button. The website for the RBC webcam said to refresh every 60 seconds. Most of us didn't want to miss anything, so we kept hitting it about every 5 to 30 seconds......for two hours. To see images like this:

Of course, we kept a separate window open on our computers to post messages on our Guest Book, and talked about not being able to see anything but tiny dots and lights for, oh, about 4 pages. Then, NB Lisa posted this on our beloved Purple Pages, quoted from another site, reportedly from someone who called someone from the concert during intermission:

"The roar for Clay was so loud and so long...And Clay was crying and trying to control himself and sniffling and choking...Peggy said that he cried, and not just a little bit...When he came up from underneath the stage, the roar was deafening - it was 'tumultuous' After Clay sang TITN, the cheers would not stop (I think this is when he was crying). Clay said, 'there is no place like home!!' But he said he had to move right along - Peggy said she thought Clay said '....beat him up if he didn't move on...' some people booed because they wanted Clay to stay!!"

Well, that's when the torrents of tears let loose among the Broads! We were passing tissues all over the internet. But, we kept hitting that refresh button, cause we thought maybe we would be able to see you in a shot like this:

LBFCA LOVES YOU CLAY!!!! WE HOPE YOU HAD THE MOST AWESOME TIME IN RALEIGH!!!!
