Among the Broads and Brudes,

From each state and city,

It has come to pass that the end of the ClayLive Summer Concert Tour results in the end of the Summer of 2003 BEVR Season at LBFCA.

Let us all share in offering thanks to the Broads who shared their 86 BEVRs, and 3 Brudes (counting Andy, whose report was in Wendy's BEVR) who showed off their SOCs. I offer special thanks to Julie, Wendy, Erin, Katynka, and, Marie, for all their help posting all of the above on the Main Page. My apologies for rushing the past couple BEVRs. I wanted to finish the series this week, and then noticed, the first BEVR is dated 7-12-03. The last one, and this Main Page, will be dated 9-12-03. Seems fitting, and good timing.

With the Broad's Eye View Reports, we enjoyed living vicariously through every concert reported. We were there when Katynka showed us the very first LBFCA BEVR. We swooned when we learned Ruth touched Clay's hand. We got familiar with the order of Clay's performances, then, of the others. We learned where we needed to watch, for Clay's entrances, or, for Air Drumming, and, when to close our eyes, or gaze, upon the Clarmen, and the Clulia, in preparation for when our turn would finally come. Some Broads knew they wouldn't see the tour, at all, and enjoyed the chance to hear other's stories. We were thrilled when Nancy P. earned a new last name (Panties!). We waited and waited and waited, for Kelly & Marie's Double BEVR, then for Tony's Magic Wand. We watched the web cam during Clay's Triumphant Return to Raleigh, and then lived through it all over again with BEVRs from Raleighgirl and from Lady Luke. We looked forward to Wendy and Sherry's trip to Orlando, and Erin and Robin's meeting in Atlanta. We enjoyed the BEVR flood after Memphis and St. Louis, and enjoyed hearing about more and more Broads meeting other Broads, and fans from other boards.

Lurkers, popped up, like Louise and Sandy, and old-timers came out of lurkerdom, like Judy, and MotorCityGal. We lost some Broads soon after they shared their BEVR, like Karen W. Who knows if Laurie L. and Wendy N. are still lurking? We learned about each other's husbands and significant other's, terrific Brudes behind the Broads, like Mr. Beth, and Erin's beloved Joe, and Mr. Karen Eh? We learned about the rest of other's families, like SassyGram's daughter and granddaughters, and Lisa's daughter's, and Julie's sister. We shared stories of long travels, like Annie's, and Dr. in NC's, and MnM's.

We celebrated when a Broad received a wink, or a clutch, or a wave, or an Eye F***. We enjoyed learning about gifts, given and thrown. We were thrilled when Michelle and Heather managed to get Clay lei'd! We felt sad when Broads had their camera confiscated, and angry when other fans and their signs impeded Broads' views. We saw PHOTOS! Of Clay! And signs! And Clay! And gifts! And Clay! More and more Broads seemed to decide to go to additional concerts, and we cheered when they got choice seats (and, maybe some of us were a little jealous, too). We learned some BEVRs got circulated around the internet! We made our own LBFCA mythology, with White Leather, that turned out to not be leather, and with a Purple Tie, that we know is a passionate shout-out from Clay to LBFCA, no matter what it's shade.

The BEVRs brought us together in a new way, and gave more Broads than ever before an opportunity to have their story on the Main Page. I have felt the sense of community grow from sharing these reports. While the concerts followed the same order, and some Broads went to the same show as others, each BEVR (and SOC!) has been unique, and special, in it's own way. I feel like I got to know the Broads, and Brudes, through this series.

I am grateful to have been a part of the Summer of 2003 BEVR Season at LBFCA. Perhaps we'll have another BEVR Season. Get ready for the Solo Concert Tour!

Thanks to Katynka, for teaching Nelle how to more easily post the BEVRs, but, now that they are finished, I am no longer your slave, and I'm going back to kissing Clay's feet exclusively.
