CD Release Party

We�ve waited forever for this . . .

This is the Night: October 13, 2003.

INTERNATIONAL CD RELEASE PARTY FOR CLAY AIKEN!

WHAT: In just two weeks on the evening of October 13, 2003, fans all across the world are going to gather together to celebrate the release of Clay�s debut album Measure of a Man. It is an unprecedented international event spanning more than 75 cities on three continents.

WHY: This is an opportunity to meet other local Clay fans in your area and celebrate Clay, his debut album and his success. Some party locations have agreed to stay open until after midnight in order to allow party goers the first opportunity to purchase Clay�s debut album. Fun and games are planned at all the parties and will be family friendly!

WHERE: RedHotTopic �serves as the central gathering place for all fans to register and communicate with party coordinators in each participating city.� If you haven�t already done so, please click on this link and register. Remember when you register to enter the location (city) in which you plan to attend. Remember, this may not be your actual hometown. Supposedly, once you have registered, your location�s party coordinator should contact you via email to give you further details regarding your city�s CD Release Party.

To be sure that you have all the right information, please click on your state�s thread and find the location that you plan to attend. There, you should be able to find all the details about your city�s party plans. It will also help the party coordinators if you post a little something on the thread letting them know that you are planning to attend. (If you have registered at RedHotTopic already, but not visited your particular party�s thread, I would encourage you to do so).

Note: If you have not received updates from your city�s coordinator and/or having problems contacting them, you can let the administrators over at RedHotTopic know by posting here.

There are different venues, different times and different plans for each location. (Canadian fans will be celebrating October 14th since it is Thanksgiving on October 13th in Canada). At one time there was talk that Borders would be hosting the parties. This is not the case, parties will be held at various venues. For example there are parties planned at MediaPlays, Virgin Megastores, Sam Goodys, restaurants, hotels, Borders, and YMCA�s.

I encourage everyone to attend a CD Release Party in their area.

In Atlanta, my location, the party is being held at MediaPlay (3850 Venture Drive, Duluth, GA) and starts at 7p.m. MediaPlay has graciously agreed to let us play Clay�s music all night, watch DVD�s of his performances on the big screen television and have a live feed to watch Clay perform on Leno. Numerous activities and games are planned such as Clay trivia, karaoke to Clay songs, treasure hunt through the store. Georgia fans have donated their time and money to make this party a success. We already have 145 people registered through RedHotTopic that are planning to attend. This is without any public advertising. MediaPlay will be distributing flyers in all their stores in the Atlanta area to customers. There will be sweets to snack on, awesome prizes to be won, fun to be had, friends to be made, and the most anticipated CD to be purchased!
