The Voice and Totality of Clay Aiken: How I See Him Joanie brought a post over from the Clackhouse, by Solitaire30, who described meeting a group of Blind Fans who asked her what Clay looked like... How to describe Clay to those who cannot see...there are no pictures so those of you who are sighted can see him too... How I See Him... His hair is like the corn stalks that grow out in the fields...Spiky, pointed tendrils but silky to the touch. His ears are like two large handles...ready to grab hold of when one needs to. His nose is like the nose on a statue...finely carved and masculine. His eyes are like the feel of water...sometimes rough and sometimes serene but full of hidden depths. His lips are like a baby's bottom...soft and round...waiting to be kissed. His smile is like the warmth of sunshine on your face after a long spell of rain. His shoulders are wide like a tree branch that is strong and able to hold the weight of the world... His hands are long and tapered...always moving...always expressing his emotions. His arms are covered in downy, red hair that feels like the fine spun silk of Spiders webs. His body is long and lanky and he is at home in it...when he moves, there is a slight tremor in the earth below. His feet are like two large arrows...pointing in opposite directions much of the time. The clothes he wears are often loud and unmatched...but they always look wonderful and say "Clay". And the important things you already know. They are there even with our eyes closed! He sings with his heart and with a voice that makes the angels weep. His humor is witty but never cruel and he is often laughing at himself. His ego is healthy and strong but never for a moment does he forget who and what he is. His faith is deep but he only shares... and never preaches. And the goodness in him...his love for children and those less fortunate...shines like a lighthouse beacon, drawing people in and making them feel safe. That is what Clay looks like... -- Sandi blog comments powered by Disqus |
