Today Show: Sleepyhead Clay

Clay is not a morning person.

We all know that Clay loves to sleep. He can sleep anytime, anywhere, with anyone.

Except, apparently, on a bus with Kelly. He reports that they stay up all night talking.

As a result, he had only one hour of sleep last night.

So this morning, we saw Sleepyhead Clay on the Today show.

Sleepyhead Clay just throws on a rumpled old stripey (that Katie Couric has already seen)

over his pajama top t-shirt with the comfy stretched-out collar

and pulls on any old pair of jeans, even if they (praise the lord!) actually fit

(But even in his somnolent state, Shoewhore Clay still manages to put on his spiffy green and pink sneaks.)

Sleepyhead Clay tumbles off the bus without taking time to shave that butterscotch scruffle,

or to fix his tousled bedheady hair

or to put makeup over his freckles.

Sleepyhead Clay looks at us through heavy-lidded bedroom eyes

and sings low, growly notes.

This is what happens when he stays up all night talking to Kelly.

Way to go, Kelly!
