Operation Two-Strapper
Lecherous Broads for Clay Aiken is pleased to support Operation-Two Strapper, a philanthropic effort inspired by Clay's recent UNICEF visit to Indonesia.
The Mission Statement of Operation Two-Strapper states:
| UNICEF Ambassador and recording artist Clay Aiken's recent trip to Indonesia has renewed our attention on the plight of schoolchildren throughout the tsunami-devastated regions. As devoted fans, we have been moved to support our champion and take his quest to heart by organizing (the following) efforts to provide material assistance to these children. We encourage every fan, or groups of fans, to consider participating. |
After images and the first new reports of Clay in Banda Aceh emerged online, an idea was born on our Purple Pages when chris s posted,
| "Maybe we should start a "Backpack for Clay" program and fill backpacks with school supplies and have them sent over. It warms my heart to see him there..." |
Inspired by their favorite two-strapper, philanthropic Broads went into action, diana l. kilbridge shared information about Shoeboxes of Love and Samaritan's Purse.
Pats gathered information about Operation Give, and chris s contacted their CEO.
Broads on the Purple Pages chimed in with enthusiastic support, and Shine in NC created the Operation Two-Strapper site.
We have shared news of the Operation Two-Strapper site around Clay Nation, and want to encourage continued sharing among the fandom, and beyond.
This is not just an LBFCA project.
It is not even just a Clay Aiken fan project.
It is definitely not.a.com.pe.ti.tion among boards.
Operation Two-Strapper is a humanitarian project inspired by the Totality of Goodness of Clay Aiken.
