The Results of a Wild Year

We couldn't rightfully bring you a page about Clay's Wild Year without also focusing on the Wildcard Results Show, also known as the Holy Grail of Geeky Goodness.

Sure, in Clay time, this show is already ancient history, but what's wrong with a walk down memory lane, when it's as purdy as this:

Luckily we had many incarnations of Clay in those precious 30 minutes...everyone could claim their own!

Melissa liked the hurl face...

Wendy likes the huggin'

Danielle likes the swoonin'

Kelly's partial to the tender moments...

And Kat...well, she just likes everything.

But the best part of this history lesson? It's how far we, and Clay, have come. A year ago today I was praying for him to make it into the top 12 of American Idol. Today? I'm frantically digging through my closet trying to find an outfit to wear to his HUGE ARENA CONCERT tonight. We might not have known it at the time of this show, but no title was ever even needed - Clay was a supastah from the beginning. Just like Wendy said...

"All I can personally remember is Mr. Wendy asking ... "okay, so who's it going to be" and me ... on my knees in front of the television ... finger following him across the screen ... as he made his way to console those who were returning home ... saying "that is my American Idol ..."

And I have never been the same .
