You're Welcome

From the Joyful Noise Tour Program:

"A special thanks to the fans: Claymates, Claydawgs, Clay-maniacs, LBFCA...."

Oh, honey, you're welcome. We were more than happy to support this tour. Yes, it was your third tour this year, but really, what else were we going to do with our time?

The holidays are the perfect time to travel after all. Sure, most people travel to visit family at this time of year, but aren't the Broads our family? We can see Aunt Edna any time, but how often do we get to see Mare? (Okay, a lot. But you get the point). What are frequent flyer miles for, after all, if not to go see Clay Aiken.

And the tour was actually quite convenient for Christmas shopping. Clay Aiken keychains make wonderful year-end presents for the mailman, the paperboy, the petsitter, the super. Oh, the joy in the eyes of the children Christmas morning when they find Clay Aiken stickers under the tree. And grandma was very excited about the Clay Aiken night shirt. Well, she would have been if we'd let her actually open the box. No way anyone was going to rip that beautiful wrapping paper! Especially after what we paid for it. Grandma can open it next year. Maybe.

You also made decorating easy. Just deck the halls with some Clay balls, and what could be more festive? And so fast. Left plenty of time to tune into one of Jill's cellcerts.

After all, you can never have enough Clay Aiken.

Or enough of the Broads.

Although maybe we should be a little worried that the kids think one of Santa's reindeer is named Killer D.

Anyway, you are very welcome. It was our pleasure.

Our great pleasure to give you this:

Yes, we supported you enthusiastically, and it was so worth it.

Look at all you gave us:

The gift of music

and good news

visions of sugarplums

and dreams of a kiss

a little song

a little dance

a little Waldo in your pants

(Or maybe not so little.)

It's been great fun.

Let's do it again next year.

Oh, and bring the pants again, okay?
