Fear Factor

Recently a ripple of anxiety coursed through LBFCA, and perhaps the whole Clay Nation, when news of an impending threat to Clay, his reputation, and his career loomed ahead.

There was a current of fear as speculation and rumor buzzed.

Fear of how this would impact Clay and his fans was palpable.

Then, there he was.

The guy.

The big threat.

Making the big boast:

Wolfie said, I sound a little bit like Clay, but maybe a little bit different than Clay, but I think my voice range is around Clay Aikens.

He looked like a nice enough guy, he had a nickname.

Not as cute as Clays.

But, he really couldn't sing.

To compensate, I think he tried to mesmerize paula with his un-expressive hands and attempt at an eyef**k

But, I reeeeally don't think Clay fans have anything to worry about.

I don't know what compelled Wolfie to proclaim he has the vocal range of Clay, and decide to try to prove himself by singing Measure of a Man...

It really doesn't matter.

I can hear with my own two ears. I can see with my own eyes. I can feel with my own heart.

From the first time I heard him sing Measure of a Man, Clay has owned that song.

From the first time 'we' saw him sing Measure of a Man.

Through the yammy face breakdown of the Wilkes Barre IT.

Through singing to a crowd so his brother could enjoy a trip to NASCAR.

Through the Capitol 4th.

Through the beautiful light display of appreciation in Charlotte.

And Clays clearly heartfelt answer.

Through the last time we saw and heard Clay sing Measure of a Man, in Raleigh.

Clay Aiken has owned that song, and owned the hearts, and multiple other essential parts, of his Lecherous Broads.

At least Wolfie took the rejection of his attempt to topple Clay graciously, before he walked away in his pants of non-perfection.

There really was no 'there' there.

I don't think he could've competed with Clay. No one can. Beyond his voice, its his heart, and, ok its in the way he wears a tie.

Or, jeans.

Or, tries to dance.

Or, teases us in his special way.

So, his Lecherous Broads move on, confident Clays place is in our hearts, and multiple other essential parts.

Clay is right where he belongs.
