Happy Birth Day

I'm relieved. Relieved that the long push through the birth canal is over and relieved that our child is so beautiful. Talk about gracious in defeat! Yeah, the 13,000 votes that became 1,300 is one of the more ridiculous shell games I've encountered, but as Lisa says, that is beside the point.

Think of it! We have assured ourselves of hearing more of our Teacozy. We got him into a virtual tie. We gave him everything he wanted and more. From not making the finals to being the wildcard choice to having the No. 1 single on Amazon.com.

Wow. We did this in concert with him, Broads and Steve and Kevin and Lurkers. We all built an amazing community that doesn't end with tonight.

I'm pleased as punch. This whole winner/loser dichotomy has never been one of my favorites. I truly think he's better off minus the KILLER schedule (how will Ruben have the energy to survive?). He'll be slightly less under Simon's thumb. Perhaps greatly less.

Let's party. It's a beyooteefull baby that we've birthed.
