The Ranch: Corral & Range

Out on the range and in the corral at The Double-O Wild BEVR Ranch, Cowgirl, and Best Bronco Buster, Sherry heads our team.

Surprising to some, we have a grand tomcat, Odin, as our Ranch Foreman. Y'all will be learnin' a bit more about him later in the tour.

Sherry and Odin are ably assisted by:

Jane, who wants to Break the Wild Stallion, and tried to claim the title of "Official Bronco Buster who breaks The One and Only Honeystud," but she hadn't realized that Sherry long had claims on that job.

Oh, in case you wondered why there was so much competition fer the job of bronco buster, well, they say a picture is worth a thousand words:

"Ride 'em Cowgirl," is often heard shouted (screamed?) around The Ranch.

Debra, signed on a bit late in the game, but she has recently been hired as Exerciser and Trainer of the Thud-Stud. Her motto won us over: 'Ride em hard...and long.' Whew, the Thud-Stud will need a hearty rubdown when she's a through putting him through his paces.

Marilyn - Snake Wrangler, whose duties include the search, capture and containment of any snake found on the spread. Rumor is, she's got an achin' to snag and tame the elusive BOA, and make it her personal pet.

Nelle - claimed the job of Horse Whisperer, and sez it's 'cause she wants to treat Our Stallion with her gentle touch and soft words, neck nuzzles and easy stroking. Claims that'll help develop a trusting relationship till they're in tune with each other. When it's time for a ride, it'll only take a bit of pressure, from a thigh or a heel, or a ripple in the muscle of the Butterscotch Mustang's flanks, to get them goin' in a direction they both desire.

Joyce is tending the fences so our Stallion doesn't escape till all the broads are satisfied.

Joanne is our Ranch Caretaker, with grand plans to grow many beautiful buttercup meadows where our Stallion can run free (and where he can play hide-and-seek with the hired hands).

Beth wants to be Brood Mare, but I do believe there are more than a few Broads who are prepared to wrassle her in creamed corn for first dibs.

Jill S is Ranch Chauffeur, but that's jest a fancy name fer Truck Driver. She's gonna be the one to go pick up Butterstud from the airport, when he flies in and out of the ranch (where he'll certainly stop to rest when he's preparing for, and on, as well as after, his inevitable Solo Concert Tour), and she's a plannin to take the long way home.
