Day of The Voice and the Totality of the Goodness of Clayton Aiken, 2
Our first LBFCA The Voice & the Totality of the Goodness of Clayton Aiken Day was so well received, we are delighted the day has arrived on our calendars again.
Clay Aiken's Voice By Rainjane 8-8-03
Clay Aiken's voice is an ocean... deceptively calm on the surface, hiding canyons of glorious crescendos filled with a rich, vibrant life force; as in a storm, it is a spectacle of wondrous complexity and power, untameable
Clay Aiken's voice is a wave... building and compounding with the momentum of the ocean behind it as it crests never breaking in the same way twice, always changing, always transmuting concurrently soothing, mesmerizing and thrilling; impermanent, fluid, its swirls and eddies curl round your senses, engulfing you in its emotions and nuances
Clay Aiken's voice is thunder... presaged by an almost palpable presence in the air, filling the atmosphere with a frisson of energy as it gains force soul-shattering in its climax, enveloping you in a way that roots you to your spot and makes you almost painfully aware of your own pathetically inadequate breathing; even when distant and muted, it is still exquisitely affecting; receding, it leaves an almost detectable shimmer behind
Clay Aiken's voice is a carillon... ringing out, sonorous a clarion call startling in its strength and clarity it washes outward in great rolling ellipses of sound every tone newly defined, every note as if never heard before
Clay Aiken's voice is an embrace... warm and enveloping, full of supple, bending notes touching your body, your heart and your mind; fleeting exquisite rapture
I am not a poet (as you can tell) but this man's voice is something that truly defies description. It is a pivotal element of who he is and what he does to people. For me, it is the starting and ending point of the marvelous, magical creature that he is. I hope we are graced with the opportunity to plumb its depths for all of our collective lives. May we all enjoy Sunday, and every day, experiencing it.
RainJane
p.s. my apologies to Baby for using the ocean metaphor!
