Philanthropist Clay Aiken: UNICEF Tsunami Relief Fundraiser

Many NBC stations nationwide will be airing a one-hour "Tsunami Relief Fund Drive" on Wednesday, January 5. Held in conjunction with UNICEF, the fund drive will air live from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET.

The fund drive will broadcast live from WNBC in New York City, and will be hosted by the station's lead anchors, Chuck Scarborough and Sue Simmons. They will be joined by "Access Hollywood's" Nancy O'Dell, who will host the program from the West Coast. UNICEF Ambassadors Sarah Jessica Parker, Tea Leoni and Clay Aiken along with UNICEF supporters, including "Will & Grace" star Debra Messing, will appear live throughout the show to help support the relief efforts.

Per Clay Nation News:

To date it appears that most NBC owned and operated stations will be running the fundraiser as well as many local affiliates. The following stations have been confirmed via email or their online schedules:

WNBC: NBC4 New York (will also stream on wnbc.com)
KNTV: NBC3 San Jose/Oakland/San Francisco
KXAS: NBC5 Dallas/Fort Worth
WMAQ: NBC5 Chicago
WGRZ: Buffalo (Western New York/Southern Ontario)
WTHR: Channel 13 in Indianapolis
WRCB: Chattanooga, Tennessee
WBIR: Channel 10 in Knoxville, TN
WBAL: Channel 11 in Baltimore

You may want to contact your local NBC station to see if they will be carrying the fund-raising event. If you do, please don't mention Clay. This is about relief efforts for the victims of the disaster and that's where the focus should stay.

From ET on MTV: "First, we've got the one and only CLAY AIKEN on the ET stage as he tapes a very special public service announcement for UNICEF in an effort to help raise money for those who were affected by the tragic tsunami.
